OFBG Hockey League Staff
Meet the league staff who oversee the day-to-day operations of the Old Fat Bald Guys Hockey League...

John Kostolansky
League Commissioner – 2010-present
Omsk General Manager – 2010-present
John Kostolansky (Corning, NY, USA) has led OFBG Hockey for eleven full seasons of league play while juggling kids, work, golf, and sobriety. Kostolansky, or “Kosto” as he is known by around the rink, oversees the management, suspensions, and league personnel.
While the League was nearly locked out due to a labor issue regarding parking lot beers, Roy Roger’s post-game fried chicken, and the use of Tim Murtha’s locker room heater in the winter months, Kostolansky’s “reign of terror” has been relatively uneventful. He has been known to change a few league rules mid-season to benefit his team, but all-in-all has done a nice job overseeing the league.
Kostolansky is the General Manager of Omsk in the OFBGHL, winning a record five Jim Mark Memorial Cups in eleven seasons of league play.

John “Moose” Hersey
Deputy Commissioner – 2010-present
Spartak General Manager – 2010-present
Should Kosto retire, or get drunk and fall down and hurt himself, John “Moose” Hersey (parts unknown) would take over as league commissioner. “Moose” is an innovator within OFBG Hockey. “Moose” has pioneered the cross-ice pond hockey pickup sessions, as well as introducing the reverse shootout to League play.
“Moose” is also a professor of philosophy and technically way too smart to be involved with our group. “Moose” is the General Manager of Spartak in the OFBGHL, winning three Jim Mark Memorial Cups in eleven seasons of league play.

Terry Yamaguchi
Senior Executive Vice President, Player Personnel – 2010-present
Dynamo General Manager – 2010-present
Commissioner Emeritus – 2005-2010
Terry Yamaguchi (Toronto, ON, Canada) is an original member of “Team Russia”, pioneering pickup hockey outings that eventually led to the creation of the Old Fat Bald Guys Hockey League. Yamaguchi oversees the OFBG Hockey player entry draft at the beginning of each season. Suprisingly, his team seems to end up with a strong roster every season (except season XI).
Yamaguchi served as OFBG Hockey Commissioner during the “pickup” era following the departure of the legendary Kip and Carole Wigmore for the Great White North. Yamaguchi helped organize the original OFBG Hockey summer tournaments.
Yamaguchi is a doctor who is way too smart to be involved with this group of maniacs. Yamaguchi is the General Manager of Dynamo in the OFBGHL, winning two Jim Mark Memorial Cups in eleven seasons of league play.

Henry Thorpe
Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer – 2005-present
Locomotiv General Manager – 2010-present
Henry Thorpe (Brantford, ON, Canada) oversees the league finances on a daily basis. Unlike the National Hockey League, Thorpe’s leadership has been unwavering, and the league continues to stay afloat. Thorpe makes sure everyone pays their league dues in a timely manner, while ensuring all legal matters are attended to. Thorpe is also an original member of “Team Russia”, the group that pioneered the Old Fat Bald Guys Hockey League.
Henry Thorpe is an honest, hard-working man, and his hockey game is very similar. Thorpe’s teams are always the hardest working team in the league. Thorpe has also made sure that each game has had scorekeepers since 2010 by dragging his poor kids to Skate Frederick to watch 65 grown men attempt to play organized ice hockey.
Thorpe is the General Manager of Locomotiv (formerly Cherepovets) in the OFBGHL, winning one Jim Mark Memorial Cup in eleven seasons of league play.

Tommy George
Senior Vice President, Hockey Operations – 2011-present
Tommy George (Frederick, MD, USA) joined the OFBGHL staff in 2011 and oversees the day-to-day hockey operations of the OFBGHL including but not limited to league management, maintenance of the league website, and overseeing the League Officiating Department. George also provides insight to the League executives, and a tie-breaking vote during OFBGHL Board Meetings when the “Four Horsemen” can’t make up their mind on a simple decision.
George has been criticized for recruiting “outstanding” officials for the OFBG Hockey Summer Tournament, but sticking the OFBGHL with “the same bums” since the League’s creation in 2010.

Dickie Dunn
Writer, www.OFBGhockey.com – 2012-present
An influential writer, Dickie Dunn (Johnstown, PA, USA) has been keeping readers informed since June of 2012 on OFBG Hockey with daily updates and information on the league website, www.OFBGhockey.com. Dickie Dunn has a passion for verbiage, creative writing techniques, and installing drama in writing to keep hockey fans glued to the page.
Dunn covered the Charlestown Chiefs (Federal Hockey League) for the Charlestown Times Herald from 1962-1977. Dunn was famous for finding “unidentified, but reliable sources” in order to get the story hockey fans craved.

Steve “Stan Bamorti” Bamonti
Director, Media Relations and Pool Parties – 2012-present
Whether is it tailgating with the parking lot or having friends over to his pool, Steve “Stan Bamorti” Bamonti (Washingtonville, NY, USA) knows how to party. Steve “Stan Bamorti” Bamonti is a two-time Emmy winner who throws great pool parties at his crib. When other OFBG players are looking to build pools or have a great party, Bamonti is the man they come to for advice.
Mark Ferrante
Executive Director, OFBGHL Players’ Association – 2012-2013
Director, Golf Outings – 2012-present
Mark Ferrante (Germantown, MD, USA) is an integral member of the OFBG Hockey family. Ferrante has led the OFBGHL Players’ Association since the Fall of 2012 when he helped the OFBGHL avoid a lockout.
Ferrante was key in labor relations between the OFBG Hockey Board of Directors and the OFBGHL Players’ Association, earning players fresher parking lot beers, hot Roy Roger’s post-game fried chicken, and the use of Tim Murtha’s locker room heater in the winter months for whatever team he was on.
Ferrante was hailed as a hero by all of the players within the OFBGHL until March of 2013 and the unfortunate “hair dryer” incident. After breaking his ankle playing basketball just a few short weeks later, Ferrante “returned to Earth” from his glorified status to become just “one of the guys” again.
Ferrante has successfully organized the OFBG Hockey Summer Tournament Golf Outing since 2012, and is a former recipient of the Gellmanzina Award (Best Goaltender). Ferrante models his life after fellow OFBG Hockey teammate Tim “Chicken Man” Murtha.
Tim “Chicken Man” Murtha
Director, Post Game Meals from Roy Rogers and E-mail Entertainment – 2013-present
Tim “Chicken Man” Murtha (New York, NY, USA) is a first ballot OFBG Hockey Hall of Famer. Murtha has been showering the League with delicious Roy Roger’s fried chicken and biscuits since 2009, and delivering excellent e-mails to the inbox’s of OFBG players since the Fall of 2011.
Murtha had a brief leave of absence from the OFBGHL in 2012-2013, but returned on a dark and gloomy evening in early April to a thunderous ovation in the parking lot of Skate Frederick as he delivered 50-plus pieces of fried chicken to friends and teammates.
